The only one Pastry Hotel della Marmolada for holidays to be enjoyed

Come and meet the Queen of the Dolomites

Just outside the door of the Pineta Pastry Hotel , the Marmolada in Val Pettorina awaits, invites, seduces.

With its 3,343 meters of height it has been crowned Queen of the Dolomites : majestic and solemn, it stands out above the town of Rocca Pietore , almost as if it were attracted by the scents that emanate from our hotel.

The Marmolada and the Belluno Dolomites offer a variety of opportunities for outdoor activities and enrich the holidays with naturalistic and cultural experiences .

The natural charm of the Marmolada

The Pineta Pastry Hotel is surrounded by a variety of naturalistic pearls. Just look out the window to already enjoy a taste and, once out the door, the choice is very wide. One of the most popular attractions of all are undoubtedly the Serrai di Sottoguda : a narrow gorge that winds for 2 km between imposing sheer rocks eroded by the Pettorina stream. The Serrai are located a few minutes from our hotel, as well as the Marmolada and its glacier, the largest of all the Dolomites. From the crystalline Lake of Fedaia , to the most beautiful ski slope in the Alps, to the important historical testimonies preserved in its perennial frost, the Marmolada glacier has a thousand voices with which to attract skiers, nature lovers and history buffs.

All around the hotel: Marmolada, culture and sport

The Marmolada has millennia of stories to tell, from the climatic and geomorphological evolutions of the area to the chronicles of the First World War.

The Marmolada Grande Guerra Museum is dedicated to the latter. Built in 1990, it revives the bloody parenthesis of the Dolomite front through war and non-war relics, recovered above all in the ” city of ice “, the network of tunnels dug into the rock to offer shelter to Austrian soldiers. The same theme is also proposed by the monumental area of Serauta and the Carlo Delcroix Multimedia Center, open in the summer months.

Of particular interest is the Vittorino Cazzetta Museum , just 15 minutes from our hotel, divided into

three thematic sections: the geological section , the archaeological section and the historical section.

Among the other cultural attractions of the surrounding area, we recommend the ancient mines of Fursil , a guided historical-cultural itinerary that can also be reached in 15 minutes, and the Andraz Castle , an ancient manor house set in a particularly suggestive landscape.

Even those who want to practice outdoor activities will be spoiled for choice: our hotel at the foot of the Marmolada is a stone’s throw from the cable car and in front of the shuttle bus stop. This makes it a strategic starting point to reach the Marmolada Ski Area in winter and to make splendid excursions in summer, perhaps taking a tasty break at one of the numerous huts that dot the surroundings.

From here you can also easily reach the most popular outdoor attractions for families , such as the San Tomaso zip line and the Civetta Adventure Park .
