The Pineta Pastry Hotel is surrounded by a variety of naturalistic pearls. Just look out the window to already enjoy a taste and, once out the door, the choice is very wide. One of the absolute most beloved attractions are undoubtedly the Serrai di Sottoguda <\/strong>(currently closed): a narrow gorge that snakes for 2 km between towering cliffs eroded by the Pettorina stream. The Serrai are located a few minutes from our hotel, as well as the Marmolada and its glacier, the largest of all the Dolomites. From the lens Fedaia Lake<\/strong>, at the \n ski slope<\/a>\n<\/u> most beautiful in the Alps, to the important historical relics enshrined in its perennial frost, the Marmolada Glacier<\/strong> has a thousand voices with which to attract skiers, nature lovers and history buffs.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Marmolada has millennia of stories<\/strong> to tell, from the climatic and geomorphological evolutions of the area to the chronicles of the First World War.<\/p>

The Marmolada Grande Guerra Museum<\/strong> is dedicated to the latter. Built in 1990, it revives the bloody parenthesis of the Dolomite front through war and non-war relics, recovered above all in the ” city of ice<\/strong> “, the network of tunnels dug into the rock to offer shelter to Austrian soldiers. The same theme is also proposed by the monumental area of Serauta<\/strong> and the Carlo Delcroix Multimedia Center, open in the summer months.<\/p>

Of particular interest is the Vittorino Cazzetta Museum<\/strong> , just 15 minutes from our hotel, divided into<\/p>

three thematic sections: the geological section<\/strong> , the archaeological<\/strong> section and the historical<\/strong> section.<\/p>

Among the other cultural attractions of the surrounding area, we recommend the ancient mines of Fursil<\/strong> , a guided historical-cultural itinerary that can also be reached in 15 minutes, and the Andraz Castle<\/strong> , an ancient manor house set in a particularly suggestive landscape.<\/p>

Even those who want to practice outdoor activities will be spoiled for choice: our hotel at the foot of the Marmolada is a stone’s throw from the cable car<\/strong> and in front of the shuttle bus<\/strong> stop. This makes it a strategic starting point to reach the Marmolada Ski Area<\/a><\/u><\/strong> in winter and to make splendid excursions<\/strong> in summer, perhaps taking a tasty break at one of the numerous huts that dot the surroundings.<\/p>
