Skiing on the Marmolada<\/strong> in Val Pettorina is one of the greatest winter pleasures that the Dolomites can offer, an experience that never tires.<\/p>

In winter, the Pineta Pastry Hotel<\/a><\/u> is an excellent starting point for skiing on the Marmolada in Val Pettorina, because it is only 5 minutes from the Malga Ciapela ski lifts<\/strong> and 10 minutes from the Ski Civetta lifts. Furthermore, the public ski bus<\/strong> stop is right in front of the hotel.<\/p>

<\/strong>12 minutes<\/strong> : this is how long it takes the ultra-modern Malga Ciapela<\/strong> cable car<\/strong> to go up to Punta Rocca, at 3,269 meters above sea level. Once up there, you can only be breathless admiring the panorama that sweeps from the mountains to the valleys until you reach, on the clearest days, the Lido of Venice<\/strong> .<\/p>

A few minutes to wake up from the enchantment and then off you go, you can go wild on the slopes of the Marmolada Ski Area. From here you whiz downhill along the Marmolada glacier<\/strong> , on the famous \u201c La Bellunese<\/strong> \u201d slope which with its 12 km<\/strong> is the longest slope in all the Dolomites and, according to experts, also the most beautiful.<\/p>

From the Malga Ciapela campsite there are three cross-country skiing trails<\/strong> , one easy of 2.5 km, one of medium difficulty and one technically demanding of 7.5 km.<\/p>

Of course there are also snowshoe<\/strong> trails, particularly suitable for those who want to savor the quiet<\/strong> of sleeping nature and maybe meet some roe deer<\/strong> along the way.<\/p>
