Marmolada – Dolomites, open
Here come the first signs of recovery from the Marmolada , Queen of the Dolomites, after the avalanche that on Sunday 2nd February was struck on the chairlift Capanna Bill – Passo Padon .
The cable car has started to operate and has already been put into operation even ski lift Arei 1 that enables ski instructors to resume their normal activities with beginners. Also, for lovers of cross-country skiing again also open the ski bottom of Malga Ciapela Caprile for a total of 8 km.
The sky then came back to be dyed blue and a warm sun did finally head showing the snowy peaks of the Marmolada in all their glory: a view that takes your breath away!
Although the Passo Padon , the connection by the ski to Sellaronda, remains unusable, more experienced skiers can choose from a wide range of alternatives within the territory of the Dolomiti Stars . The slopes of the Ski Civetta are easily reachable thanks to a ski bus (free of charge for our Guests ) that connects Malga Ciapela to Alleghe. Arabba is at only 30 minutes by car reachable, the same time that it would take to reach it on skis.
